Years ago, as leather craftsmen we had started in business together in York and became very successful. Anthony also studied law and became a senior criminal defence barrister until 2003, when we both decided to change our lives altogether!

Seizing the opportunity to buy a neglected Beach Donkey Business, we spent the next twelve months working very hard with the donkeys and successfully turned the business into one of the best in the country and we named it Hee Haw Donkeys!

Our success was confirmed when we received the award for the Best Beach Donkey in the North East of England 2005 and became the runners-up in the Best British Beach Donkey Awards 2005. In the autumn of the same year we established a new home for our Hee Haw Donkeys in Caithness, Scotland.  

For several years we took our donkeys to many of the Shows and Highland Gatherings across the north of Scotland with great success. 

Then in 2009 we decided to return to Scarborough with the donkeys where we have held the Donkey Concession on the North Bay since May 2010.

We have retired some donkeys to excellent homes and currently we have ten donkeys.
