Donkeys for Children's Rides

Where? - Throughout northern Scotland
When? - For your Show, Gala, Country Fayre, Fête or Party
Why? - Because donkeys enjoy their work and making new friends and so do we!

The Donkeys - We can provide from two to five experienced adult riding donkeys and their handlers for children's rides.

The Track
We require a track of 100 yards (approximately) to lead the donkeys as the children ride up and down. (NB. Maximum age sixteen (16) years. Weight limit: Eight (8) stones).

The Price: Rides cost between £2.00 and £3.00 each
(Depending on the location, distance, transport and cost of appearance).

Charlie and Monty are 2 experienced white donkeys and have proved to be very popular. The children will have unlimited free rides for one and a half hours.

Own a Donkey for Half a Day!

A new facility for 2007

Bring your child to 'Newlands' for a morning or afternoon during which they can look after and ride their own donkey (under supervision). There will not be more than 4 children at any one time. To book please contact Marilyn as above.

Educational and Group Visits

Another new facility for 2007
For groups of up to six (6) children to visit 'Newlands' to see our donkeys and learn about them.
We will give an introductory talk about donkeys and their welfare.
The Children will be shown how and can join in to try handling, grooming, etc and have the opportunity to ride a donkey under supervision round one of our fields.
The children are always fascinated by our unusual miniature donkeys too!.

Easter and Nativity Events - Theatre Plays - Television and Films

We have a number of attractive donkeys which can be hired for these purposes.
Of particular interest are our miniature donkeys Peanuts and Thistle.
Peanuts is a 'Shrek' donkey look-alike.

We have professional insurance including public liability of £5,000,000
We are members of the Donkey Breed Society and NFU Scotland.
We are a Licensed Riding Establishment.
Our donkeys are well cared for, well loved, well behaved and welcomed everywhere!
